Bimal Gharti Magar
Bimal is a software engineer who has been passionate about computers since he first came to know about them as a young man. He followed his passion to become a computer engineer.
He has a strong background in computer science. His experience includes working in both green- and brown-field development in a startup and a larger corporation.
Bimal is excited about learning best practices and system architecture design. He is always learning new technologies in his spare time, and is familiar with React, Vue, Firebase, Python, Django, C#, .NET, .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, and Amazon Web Services, among others.
Experience
Senior Software Engineer, Tekvortex Pvt. Ltd., 2017–2018. Worked as cloud consultant on backend development and analytics engine. Created a REST API for ETL (extract, transform, load) and data analysis using R, Python, PostgreSQL, shell scripting, and several services of AWS.
Software Engineer, Verisk Nepal (formerly Verisk Information Technologies), 2014–2017. Developed web applications for the insurance industry using C#, ASP.NET MVC, SharePoint, DB2, and Knockout.
