We are seeking a full-time Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) Coordinator to provide high-level expertise in the validation and automation of eCR messages.

This position is responsible for establishing complete, up-to-date, timely, and automated reporting of individual-level data, and automation of incoming EHR data. Position is remote, in the United States only.

The person in this role will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the eCR onboarding process for our clients. Additionally, the person will become our subject matter expert for the NNDSS Modernization Initiative (NMI) and how systems in place within EpiTrax can be configured to report through the NMI module.

Job responsibilities

eCR onboarding—40%
- Assist the on-boarding team with eCR reporters.
- Develop Structure, Dictionary, LOINC and SNOMED codes in EMSA.
- Assist in eCR message structure approval.
- Assist with EMSA management.
Troubleshooting—30%
- Issues found by the program epis and the LHDs.
- Issues found by the surveillance team.
- Create trouble tickets for issues.
Testing—15%
- Test the structure for incoming messages.
- Test new enhancement functionality.
- Test bug fixes.
Grant document development—5%
- Assist with determining next steps in development to be included in grants.
- Develop documentation for grants.
Process documentation—5%
- Thoroughly document changes and the processes put in place.
NMI—5%
- Work with state and CDC teams to determine MMG onboarding schedule.
- Map EpiTrax variables to PHIN VAD variables in the NMI module.
- Document all mappings and changes.

We are looking for an engineer to join the End Point Immersive and Geospatial Support (I+G) Team—a small, multidisciplinary team that supports our company’s clients with their VisionPort systems incorporating Liquid Galaxy technology. VisionPort hardware consists of large-panel HD TVs within a curved panoramic environment, supported by a server stack with power, video, audio, and network connections and equipment.

The candidate will be based out of a home office in the western United States (Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Texas). The engineer will be asked to travel to, perform, and supervise system installations, in addition to day-to-day remote support work from a home office.

Occasional evenings and weekend on-call shifts are shared amongst the team.

About us

End Point is technology consulting company founded in 1995 and based in New York City, with 35 full-time employees working mostly remotely from home offices. We serve over 200 clients ranging from small family businesses to large corporations, using a variety of open source technologies. Our team works together using ssh, Screen and tmux, IRC, Google+ Hangouts, Skype, and even regular phones.

End Point’s New Tennessee Office

End Point has opened a new office for our Liquid Galaxy business in Bluff City, Tennessee. Bluff City is in the Tri-Cities region in the eastern corner of Tennessee. Our new place is 3500+ square feet and has ample office and warehouse space for our growing Liquid Galaxy business.

From our start back in 1995, End Point has always been a “distributed company” with a modest headquarters in Manhattan. (The headquarters was especially modest in our early days.) The majority of End Point’s employees work from their home offices. Our work focusing on development with Open Source software and providing remote systems support requires relatively little space, so our distributed office arrangement has been a cost-effective and wonderful way to work.

However, over the last four years our work with Liquid Galaxy systems has presented us with some old-fashioned physical-world challenges. Our space requirements have steadily increased as we’ve tested more and more components and built several generations of Liquid Galaxies, and as we’ve prepped and packed increasing numbers of systems going out for permanent installations and events. We’ve well outstripped the space of our Manhattan headquarters, my garage, and a storage unit; hence, our new office in Bluff City.

We moved into our Tennessee facility in November and have been whipping it into shape since then. Our Liquid Galaxy team remains distributed, with a good number of staffers in our NYC office, plus elsewhere in the US and internationally, but we now have a core of talented personnel in our new office too: Matt Vollrath, Will Plaut, and Neil Elliott. And, we will be adding to our staff in the new office as well. At last we have lots of space!
